This looks like an EMD SD18; perhaps an SD24. There were a few built with the sloping low nose. The Gyralite on the niose is an interesting feature. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than I have can determine the original purchaser of this loco.

did a little research on this the unit's Gyralite would indicate SP but SP had only 7's and 9's so i dug a little deeper this unit it is an old Reserve Mining SD18 unknown on # they a had a total of 7 unit numbers 1226-1232.

only one is listed under RSMX unit 1231. this could possibly any Reserve Mining SD18.
